Specific Aims Aim#1: To evaluate the prevalence of occult vitamin D deficiency and rickets among a clinic sample of healthy infants and toddlers at a hospital-based primary care clinic.
Aim #2 : To identify risk factors (both maternal and child) for vitamin D deficiency and rickets within this sample, including age, nutrition, supplementation, and interaction between age and nutritional factors.
Aim #3 : To evaluate the efficacy of two different regimens for the treatment of vitamin D deficiency and rickets.
