In this project's first phase, the relationship between clinical childhood lead poisoning and long-term renal and neurologic dysfunction was examined among a subjects and their age, sex, and town-of-residence matched controls. Preliminary analysis of obtained data suggests long-term neurobehavioural development by needleman, bellinger, and colleagues, are returning for follow-up neurobehavioural tests and physical exams. Estimates of bone lead burden will also be made using a K-X-ray fluorescence instrument.
