An earlier study (the DASH study) showed that a diet containing fiber, certain minerals (potassium, calcium, and magnesium), and that is low in fat can lower blood pressure. In this study we would like to find out if the DASH diet lowers blood pressure in people that have isolated systolic hypertension.
