This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This study is closed. This study will look at a heart-imaging technique called cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) in people after a recent heart attack. CMRI is a way to look at how blood flows to the heart and how well the heart muscle works. This study is being done to see if CMRI is useful in predicting how well people will do after a heart attack. Eligible subjects underwent MRI at two time points, 1 to 5 days after the heart attack and 90 days later Data related to clinical outcomes was collected at 30 days. Thirteen (13) subjects were enrolled in the study.
