The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Eurand, S.p.A., a company that makes pancreatic enzyme supplements, is conducting this randomized, double-blind (neither the patient, doctor, or staff know which product is being given), placebo-controlled, crossover (go back and forth between placebo and the study drug) research study to test whether a pancreatic enzyme preparation improves digestion of fats, proteins, and possibly carbohydrates compared with a placebo (a pill like the enzymes but not containing any enzymes) in patients with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). The purpose of this study is to compare the effects (good and bad) Eurand Pancreatic Enzyme Product (PEP) has on you and how it affects your absorption of fat and protein.
