Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. PACTG 1022 The purpose of this study is to see if one of two different combinations of drugs are better at treating HIV in pregnant women and how long these drugs will stay effective. It will also measure levels of drugs in the blood before and after pregnancy and see if there are any special problems with taking HIV drugs during pregnancy.
