Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this study is to determine whether a new radiotracer called [11C]MRB can be used to measure levels of norepinephrine transporter (NET) in the normal human brain and to see if these measures give us the same answers each time. The ability to measure the level of NET in the human brain will be important in understanding their role in addiction.
