Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The purpose of this study is to investigate a medication treatment strategy for children who have both ADHD and other difficulties with behavior and self control particularly aggression. Medication for ADHD can help both the main symptoms of ADHD ( inattention,restlessness,impulsiveness) and conduct problem behaviors (trouble following directions and rules, aggressiveness, anger control difficulties,etc.).
