This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.The purpose of this study is to see if environmental factors are associated with human heart malformations. This is an observational study of possible risk factors for heart malformations in the greater Washington DC area. The overall hypothesis of this study is that gene-environment interactions modulate the occurrence of specific types of human heart malformations.
