The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Among adults with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is increasingly common. The prevalence of CKD, its etiology and natural history in children and adolescents with HIV-infection has not been systematically studied. The primary aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of CKD in pediatric HIV-infected individuals.
Specific Aim : The prevalence of proteinuria and CKD among pediatric HIV-infected patients is greater than in the general pediatric population.
