Dr. Terri Kinzy Cook (PI) serves as the director of this facility with Dr. Lee-Ann Schein as associatedirector (Co-PI). The has two ABI 3100 automated capillary fluorescent DNA sequencers. This providesthe capacity for over 250 DNA sequencing samples per day. Additionally, this technology can performmore sophisticated DNA analysis, such as single nucleotide polymorphism and microsatellite instabilityanalysis. All members of the Program Project will use the instrument without charge for facility use. Otherinvestigators pay a user fee for sequencing of DNA of $15 per DNA sequence and $0.25 per base foroligonucleotide synthesis. All members of the Program Project will use this facility extensively.
