The Pathology component serves all of the projects and enables tumor diagnosis, detection of tissue antigens and a variety of other pathological techniques to be used in a uniform manner throughout the program. This allows a valid exchange of data among investigators based on the same morphological criteria. This component also provides carefully characterized tissue specimens for the investigators for analyses that are essential to the outcome of this program.
