The task of the embryology core is to: (1) Analyze the expression pattern of genes in embryos and in particular in embryonic heart. This involved in situ hybridization on tissue sections and on whole-mounts. (2) Provide embryos, in particular chick embryos, to the PPG laboratories. (3) Train members of the PPG in the techniques of gene expression analysis. (4) To assist PPG investigators in documenting their results for the purpose of data analysis and publication.
