This Program Project Grant Application poses common biological questionsregarding the role of specific cells and cell products in HIV-1 neuropathogenesisusing multiple experimental systems. Core 1 will be established to coordinateconstruction, production, quality control, and distribution of several common.research tools to permit direct comparison of results obtained by distinctexperimental approaches.
The Specific Aims are:1. To coordinate primary cell isolation and distribution to Projects.2. To prepare and distribute standardized HIV-1 stocks to Projects.3. To collect and analyze custom DNA microarray results for distribution toProjects.4. To construct and optimize use of interfering RNA oligonucleotides forProjects.
