The Administrative Core will be responsible for the operation, management, and coordination of allEXPORT Center activities throughout the life of the grant. All of the resources needed for this purpose are in place at both the EXPORT Field Office and the USA Center for Healthy Communities (CMC) office. TheUniversity and USA COM have given their full support to the CMC and the EXPORT Center. In addition to anadministrative core, the EXPORT Center will have a Research Core, Community Engagement Core, and aResearch Education / Training Core. The day-to-day activities of the administrative core will be handled by the PI, Errol Crook, a secretary, a computer support person to handle the website, and a grant manager. The PI will oversee allocation of resources in conjunction with the center secretary and grant manager. Humanresource issues, time sheets, purchasing, university and NCMHD reporting activities, expense reimbursement, etc. will be handled centrally in the administrative core. The EXPORT Center secretary and website managerwill sit in the EXPORT Field Office, which is a 5 minute walk from the PI and research core leader and next to community engagement core personnel. Day-to-day management of personnel other than those listed abovewill be by the directors of the other cores. The community engagement core has personnel that will alsosupport the research education and training core and, at times, the research core. We have chosen to placethese persons in the community engagement core so that the community engagement coordinator will haveoversight responsibilities.
