Abstract

1. ObjectivesThe objective of this core is to provide consultative, technical and equipment support forfluorescence, confocal microscopy and digital image analysis studies needed to supportthe research activities of investigators within the Fragile X Center.The Core consists of four components: a Zeiss LSM 510 META system for state-of-theartconfocal microscopy, (2) an off-line PC workstation equipped with diverse imageanalysis software, (3) technical support and expertise provided by an image analysisspecialist and core director, (4) and technical support with experimental procedures inimmunofluorescence and other fluorescence labeling studies.
