The primary missions of the Clinical Assessment and Training Unit (CAT) are to provide: 1) expert screening, diagnostic and assessment procedures for studies within the IRC, 2) training for personnel within and outside of the IRC, and 3) research on diagnostic and assessment issues. These functions are vital to any research facility. The CAT unit allows these functions to be performed in a comprehensive manner, ensures that these services are available to all IRC investigators and facilitates the development, maintenance, and reliability of assessment across studies in the IRC.
