We are applying for a Shared Instrumentation Grant from NIH and need preliminary data as described in the following: Montrose, Marshall H. Goal can we use YLF to look at drugs and SNARF? 5-ASA EX365, EM500 Ac-5ASA EX 314, EM440 SNARF-1 EX 500, EM 580 and 640 (isobestic 610) Loren Field Goal is to look at distribution of markers injected (crudely) into heart muscle. Oregon Green 514 70KD dextran EX506, EM526 sulforhodamine G EX529, EM548 sulforhodamine B EX556, EM576 Susan Gunst Fixed muscle sample stained with Texas Red phallocidin. Goal to document depth of penetration: ideally in comparison with I -p confocal abilities. Len Erickson Goal is to image some of the drugs that are substrates of the multi-drug resistance protein (MDRI). We will look at drugs in solution, and I will inject some i.v. Goal after injection is to stare at a few organs (e.g. lung) and see if obvious nuclear drug accumulation follows. doxorubicin EX -500, EM-595 mitoxantrone EX -500? daunorubicin EX?
