This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Transducin protein is a 87aa protein that is involved in signal transduction pathway. Our goal is to find the best nmr experimental condition for this protein when it is complexed with transducin. This protein is 15N-labeled and is a collaboration with Rouho's lab. Ultimately, we are planning to get structure for this protein which will be valuable for p-gamma interaction with transducin in the complex form. For getting simpler assignments we are using the truncated form of p-gamma to be used later on for the complex structure studies.
