This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Flourine labeling studies are used as a new functional assay for T1R2/T1R3 folding and binding interaction studies. If these labeling strategies are successful we will use them for future small ligand binding to receptor studies by NMR spectroscopy. Different labeling and binding strategies are used to optimize binding interaction studies and the results will be used for grant applications.
