This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Tetraspanin proteins interact with transmembrane receptors and cytoplasmic signaling proteins organizing microdomains at the cell plasma membrane. However, the complex tetraspanin-based network has never been analysed using analytical microscopy techniques. We are currently addressing this point making extensive use of Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM) and using as primary human endothelial cells as cellular model.
