Abstract

The active site of rat GlcNAc-T V is being identified using a specific photo-activatable acceptor for the enzyme. Tryptic peptides of the enzyme are prepared before and after photo-activation, and modified peptides have been identified. These will next be sequenced to identify amino acids in or near the active site of the enzyme.
