This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The goal of this work is to understand the detailed functioning of the GE Spiral sequences, and optimize the imaging sequence to be able to image gases. Initial studies will primarily depend on the optimization of imaging parameters and hence we will just be using phantoms to perform imaging. This work will impact later studies that will use this sequence.
