The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Imaging study on live miceBACKGROUND: Injection of DC (deoxycholate) into fat tissue causes the death and disappearance of that fat tissue. Similarly, exposure of DC to cultured fat cells in vitro causes the rapid death of those cells. The inclusion of PC (phosphatidylcholine) the in vitro experiment reduces the killing potency of the DC. We wish to determine if PC has the same inhibitory effect in vivo by performing a longitudinal study.
