This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Purpose:This project aims to combine linear off-resonance correction with partial k-space reconstruction. By performing the steps of each reconstruction in the proper order, these two non-separable methods can be combined. Additionally, this method allows for non-linear off-resonance correction in the slice-encode direction. Methods:Two low-resolution images are acquired at different echo times, when water and fat are in phase and are used to create low-resolution phase maps for each slice. The phase maps are approximated with constant and linear terms. The off-resonance correction is incorporated at the gridding stage of a modified homodyne algorithm.
