Abstract

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source,and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator.Children and clinical subjects often move during an fMRI scan session. For small motions (less than 1 mm), the accuracy of results can be improved by including linear motion parameters in the design analysis. However, a survey of 26 fMRI data sets showed that more than 80% of male fragile X adolescents moved more than 1 mm in a scan session, and some moved up to 7 mm.
