This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Work has continued in our efforts to bring fMRI analysis tools into 3D Slicer for open source distribution to the community. Beyond standard methodology like the GLM approach, this work builds on our previous NAC research in detection, and includes Ising prior models to control false positives and reduce fragmentation. Additional detail is provided in the Research Highlights section. Our research on system level modeling of fMRI culminated in the recent PhD thesis of Eric Cosman, Jr. (Cosman 2005)[2], and publication of a paper (Cosman 2005).[3] This work uses multivariate auto-regressive processes to model fMRI observations in populations. In this reporting period, an article was published (Zou 2005)[10] on our previously reported methodology for analyzing the variability of fMRI data in populations.
