This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Early brain development of children at high risk for schizophrenia and normal controls will be followed prosepectively with prenatal ultrasound and neonatal MRI. We plan to enroll 60 children of mothers with schizophrneia, 60 fetuses with isolated mild ventriculomegaly, and 120 controls. Development will be assessed at ages one and two years of age.
