This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Our research focuses on the brain bases of psychiatric disorders. To enable studies on the brains of individuals with psychiatric disorders using the latest MR technologies, we have worked closely with members of the Resource to conduct studies in normal brains, using diffusion tensor imaging (TRD3) and independent component analysis (TRD 1). Our publications on these areas include V.D. Calhoun et al. Human Brain Mapping. 14:140-151 (2001); Stieltjes et al., Neuroimage 14, 723 (2001); Mori et al. Magn. Reson. Med. 47, 215 (2002).
