This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The Emory Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) provides administrative and shared facilities support for HIV/AIDS research at Emory. There are 16 other NIH-funded CFARs around the country. Components of the Emory CFAR include the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University School of Medicine, the Yerkes Regional Primate Research Center, the Emory Emory Vaccine Center, and Emory College. The Emory CFAR currently provides services for over 120 faculty who engage in more than $44 million dollars of funded HIV/AIDS research annually in the areas of prevention science, vaccine development, AIDS pathogenesis, and clinical science. CFAR services are provided through six CFAR Cores: Administrative, Developmental, Behavioral & Social Sciences, Clinical Research, Immunology, and Virology/Pharmacology. FUNDING SOURCE: NIH
