This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Objective: The objective of the proposed research program is to further our understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the formation of specific retinogeniculate projections in the primate visual system. The proposed research program will break new ground by increasing our understanding of the mechanisms underlying the formation of M and P pathways which are a distinguishing feature of the primate visual system.
