This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Chimpanzees are being maintained under a NHLBI contract to perform hepatitis or AIDS research. These chimpanzees are available to all investigators interested in pursuing research projects that require the use of this nonhuman primate model. Interested investigators are required to discuss the project with the P.I. to ascertain that appropriate animals are available for the project, and must obtain permission from the Project Officer at NHLBI. Technical support for research projects is available at the SNPRC.
