ObjectivesThe objective of Core D is to provide a centralized administrative infrastructure, based at HIM-NAT, to support each ofthe projects that comprise this multi-project CIPRA program. This is summarized in the project linkage grid. Theprogram steering committee of the administrative core, with Thai and Cambodian representation, will be responsible forthe governance of the program and communications between projects and other cores.
Specific aims1. to establish a program steering committee, to oversee all the projects2. to establish an independent international advisory board3. to ensure quality management practices are implemented in the projects and cores of this program4. to review and maintain the scientific and administrative progress of the program5. to provide regular reports on the acquittal of funds for the projects and cores of the CIPRA grant6. to implement effective lines of communication between project and core components of the program7. to employ the core leader as project administrator in Thailand8. to provide English, Thai and Khmer translation services for protocols, informed consent forms and other patientrelatedinformation for all projectsMethodsAn advisory board will be chaired by Professor Praphan Phanuphak. A program steering committee will oversee day today running of the projects and cares. Project working groups, core working groups and a community advisory boardwill be established, reporting to the steering committee. The Core Leader will be responsible for the overalladministration of the project, supported by the HIM-NAT business manager and other administrative personnel. Aprogram coordinator, secretary and financial assistant will be employed in Thailand. A program coordinator and anadministrative assistant will be employed in Cambodia. A financial assistant, to work under the supervision of theexisting HIM-NAT business manager, Kesdao Nanthapisal, will be responsible for the management and acquittal of allCIPRA funds. Additional computer equipment and furniture will be purchased to support the increased activitygenerated by these projects.
