This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing theresources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject andinvestigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed isfor the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The Chemistry Core, housed at Stanford University, will be supervised by Dr. Bogyo. The core willperform routine synthesis of chemical reagents required for the generation of activity-based probes. The Chemistry Core will also perform scale-up synthesis and quality control testing for thedistribution of the activity-based probes to the other laboratories participating in the CPP, and to thebroader research community. The Chemistry Core will also supervise the synthesis of quenchedfluorochrome peptide substrates that are developed for imaging in TRP 3
