The Information Technology /Telecommunications Core, continues to provide support to the NEIDL through the management and maintenance of computing devices, network systems, telephone, voicemail, video conferencing, and software application development. These systems will be supported within the building and as those systems integrate with Boston University Medical Center infrastructure.

Public Health Relevance

The IT/Telecom Core will continue to coordinate, facilitate, manage and /or maintain services to support the research and operational requirements of the NEIDL. The continued focus of our efforts is to provide the science and administrative staff with effective and efficient software tools operating on a stable and secure hardware platform. We will accomplish this by being proactive in the NEIDL staff endeavors, regular meetings with each of the administrative and integrated service center core leaders, and utilizing the many intellectual resources from within the Boston University information technology community. We will also continue our consulting work with the Regional and National Biologic Laboratory organization under the direction of NIAID leadership.
