This award is made under the high performance connections portion of ANIR's "Connections to the Internet" announcement, NSF 98-102. It provides partial support for two years for an OC-3 connection. Applications include remote operation of scientific instrumentation, real-time visual modeling of satellite guidance systems, wireless communications support for multimedia streams and quality of service routing for multipoint Internet teleconferencing. Collaborating institutions include but are not limited to Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, United States Air Force Armstrong Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, CSU Polytechnic University, Pomona College, San Diego State University and UCSF Medical Center.
