This project is to develop a single-chip integrated polarimeter with Transition Edge Sensor (TES) detectors for millimeter and submillimeter wavelength wide-field imaging arrays. The primary objective is to design prototype single-chip polarimeters with integrated polarization modulators and TES detectors, fabricate the detectors, and conduct iterative testing of polarimeter performance. Detector development that addresses the challenges of precision wide-field imaging polarimetry at submillimeter wavelengths will promote scientific advancement in diverse fields, including galactic and extragalactic astrophysics and cosmology.
