TITLE: EXP-SA:Adaptive Automated Detection of Emplacement of Explosive Devices

Neil C. Rowe Naval Postgraduate School (0729696)

This work will implement a video surveillance system augmented by non-imaging sensors, with the goal of identifying data patterns that correspond to suspicious human behavior that might accompany explosive emplacement. Bayesian models expressing qualitative theories of malign behavior are to be tuned using data collected from actors carrying out simulated nefarious activities. In a general setting, success in the research arenas outlined in the proposal is vital for any viable deployment of systems for surveillance and environment monitoring in both military and civilian arenas.
