This conference grant will help to support costs for the Institute of Biological Engineering (IBE) Conference 2010 which will be held in Cambridge, MA March 4-6, 2010. The conference will cross disciplinary boundaries (chemical, biomedical, mechanical, electrical, agricultural) and cover research and education. Students are anticipated to constitute 65% of the conference participants. Two special sessions will be held: "Biological Engineering to Solve NAE Grand Challenges in Sequestration" and "Biological Engineering to Solve NAE Grand Challenges in Providing Safe Drinking Water." Speakers and session organizers will write full articles to be published in the open access publication, Journal of Biological Engineering. Additionally, sessions will be video recorded and published on the IBE public website.
