The workshop seeks to bring together different research disciplines to initiate a comprehensive technical discussion on theoretical and algorithmic approaches: network modeling, performance analysis, and algorithm design. The objective of the workshop is to identify several common theoretical and algorithmic approaches that can address issues related to sensor and ad-hoc networks. The central topic of the workshop revolves around the following questions: Given a large sensor network, what are the appropriate solutions/tools to model, analyze, and design algorithms for this novel network? What are the emerging new applications and new problems for sensor networks? What are the theoretical challenges in the future sensor network design and deployment?

Broader Impact:

This workshop seeks a broad impact through a mix of researchers from theoretical and system study and by helping to stimulate collaborations. We believe that theoretical progress on the research topic in the workshop will have a long-term impact on understanding the fundamental issues and real deployment of sensor networks.
