This proposal requests travel support for organizing a workshop on Exascale Computing co-located with the International Conference on High-Performance Computing, Dec. 18-22 in Goa India. The workshop will involve presentations on the challenges of Exascale computing as well as on the results from previous workshops to be disseminated to wider audience and international community. The presentations will be given by leaders in the field of high-performance computing as well as leaders and participants from the working groups developing the Exascale agenda. In addition, a panel consisting of leaders from government funding agencies including those from US, India, Europe and Asia will discuss future directions and opportunities for funding and collaboration in the Exascale computing arena.

, Goa, India. The main goals of this project was to organize an international group to discuss ideas, understand developments and identify challenges and collaboration opportunity for next generation of supercomuting across the world. The workshop involved presentations on the challenges of Exascale computing as well as on the results from previous workshops to be disseminated to wider audience and international community. The presentations were given by leaders in the field of high-performance computing as well as leaders and participants from the working groups developing the Exascale agenda. In addition, a panel consisting of leaders from government funding agencies including those from US, India, Europe and Asia discussed future directions and opportunities for funding and collaboration in the Exascale computing arena. The outcome of this workshop helped build collaborations and joint program proposals amongst different participants from international community. There are subsequent international workshops and joint programs amongst different countries inclduing India and the US for fostering specific collaboration, exchanges etc. The results of this workshop have also contributed towards the International Exascale Porgram report.
