Starting in the Fall of l992, the weekly Metropolitan Atlanta Theory Seminar (MATS) began its activity. The goal of the seminar is stimulating activity in Theoretical Computer Science in the greater Atlanta area. Attendees include faculty and students from Georgia Tech (the College of Computing, the Math Department, Industrial and Systems Engineering, and Electrical Engineering); University of Georgia at Athens; Emory University; University of Alabama; and two HBCU's, Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University.
