David Nesbitt of University of Colorado is supported by a grant from the Physical Chemistry Programs to organize a workshop for Physical Chemists on NSF Integrating Themes. The workshop is being organized in collaboration with Julanna Gilbert of Denver University and Branka Ladanyi of Colorodo State University. A two day workshop is planned to: 1) inform the physical chemistry community of the multidisciplinary funding opportunities offered by the various integrating themes at NSF; 2) to establish strategies for how to compete effectively for these integrating themes; and 3) to provide input on areas where new initiatives might have a strategic impact on emerging opportunities in physical chemistry. It is anticipated that about 75 people will attend the workshop including a few selected invited speakers.
