Partial travel support is provided for the principal investigator and 10 other researchers in the engineering design field to attend and participate in the International Conference on Engineering Design in Hamburg, FRG, on August 26-28, 1985. The meeting is held every two years, with design methodology as the main focus. This year's conference will relate to CAD, design economics, design strategies, and engineering management. The meeting provides an international forum for technical discussions on current research into design methodology and how this research relates to developing quality products at a reasonable cost.
