This award is for the support of the U.S. Panel on Wind and Seismic Effects. The Panel is comprised of 15 agencies participating in various task committees which focus on specific issues such as earthquake hazard reduction. Annual meetings alternate between the U.S. and Japan. The National Bureau of Standards, Center for Building Technology provides the Secretariat for the U.S. Panel. This award will provide partial support of the activities associated with the annual meeting that will be held this year in Japan. This activity makes a significant contributions to NSF programs and to the hazards reduction field. An award is recommended.
