This project focuses on small business distruption resulting from the October 1, 1987 Whittier Narrows California earthquake and the initial recovery plans of a sample of affected businesses. The objectives of the project are to: (1) identify the significant components of earthquake-related business disruption and (2) develop a model identifying factors that impede or facilitate the recovery process for businesses.
