This award is made under the high performance connections portion of NCRI's "Connections to the Internet" announcement, NSF 96-64. It provides partial support for two years for a DS-3 connection to the vBNS. Applications include Space Science and Engineering Center programs: Unidata, Geostationary Satellite Archive System and Remote Visualization; Biological Magnetic Resonance Data Bank; high energy physics; Integrated Microscopy Resource; Condor Flocks of Loosely Coupled Computers; Space Astronomy Laboratory; Virtual Designing in a Distributed Environment; and instructional video delivery. Collaborating institutions include the over 100 research institutions participating in the Unidata program, as well as Argonne National Laboratory, Fermilab, the University of Indiana and Yale University.
