This award is made under the high performance connections portion of NCRI's "Connections to the Internet" announcement, NSF 96-64. It provides partial support for two years for a DS-3 connection to the vBNS. Applications include projects in climate modeling, networking and computer science, mathematics, biophysics, medicine, engineering and astrophysics. Collaborating institutions include Cornell University, Brown University, University of Wisconsin, University of North Carolina, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, NCAR, University of Texas at El Paso, University of Maryland, and the University of Illinois.
