ABSTRACT "Establishment of a vBNS Connection for the Oklahoma Consortium for Advanced Networking in Research" University of Oklahoma PI: T. H. Lee Williams NCR-9810270 This award is made under the high performance connections portion of ANIR's "Connections to the Internet" announcement, NSF 96-64. It provides partial support for two years for OC-3 connections to Abilene for the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. Applications include projects in storm scale numberical weather prediction, photosythetic electron transfer, genome databases, distance educaiton, telemedicine research, simulations of lipid membranes, kinetics of epitaxial growth, electronic structure calculations, and computer-assisted technology transfer. Collaborating institutions include National Center for Supercomuter Applications, National Library of Medicine, as well as institutions in several other states and countries.
