This three-year project provides high school biology teachers in the Phoenix area with the training necessary to teach the inquiry-oriented Learning Cycle method of instruction. The project consists of the following steps: Year One: The materials developed under a former grant will be used and refined by the biology faculty at Dobson High in Phoenix. Year Two: Faculty will be trained and the program will be expanded to include five additional high schools. Year Three:The faculty previously trained in the Learning Cycle will offer in-service courses for other biology teachers in the immediate area.
